The purpose of this blog is to bring the many facets of wellness together. Being healthy requires a holistic approach to your lifestyle habits…not JUST eating well or JUST exercising or JUST seeing your massage therapist or chiropractor once every couple weeks. In two decades of personal fitness training, there are more times than I care to mention where I have struggled getting this message across to clients, friends and family. In fact, I still do at times. But it doesn’t deter me. And if you know me, you know there’s not much that does deter me. Just as a one dimensional approach to fitness will eventually lead you down the road to injury, a one dimensional approach to your overall health and well being will do the same.
With that said, First Place Fitness is dedicated to bringing you information and guidance from experts in massage therapy, physical therapy, chiropractic care, diet and nutrition, fitness and mental health. I am hoping this community of wellness providers will be able to inspire our readers to begin taking a more holistic approach to leading a healthier lifestyle.
